Welcome to Our Journey
At onelightsystem OLS, we are committed to building a Sun Light Civilization that promotes peace and better living conditions for humanity across our galaxy. Our web development efforts are a critical part of this mission, and I’m excited to share the latest updates on our progress as of today, March 12, 2025.
Recent Web Development Achievements
Over the past few days, our team, with the invaluable assistance of our AI collaborator Grok 3, has made significant strides in enhancing the OLS website (olsme.com):
- Mobile Menu Enhancements: We introduced a toggleable menu button for mobile users on the Login page, styled with our signature OLS colors (#ffcc00, #0427f4, #ffaa00 on hover). This ensures seamless navigation on smaller screens.
- Menu Cleanup: The MenuLogin component was streamlined by removing unused search and logo elements, resolving performance issues and improving load times.
- Register Page Optimization: The Register page was optimized for mobile with a full-width layout, a reduced logo (50x30px), and refined typography (12px), eliminating empty spaces and enhancing usability.
- Stat Page Development: We launched the Stat page, renamed from Profile to reflect its public user statistics role. It features a collapsible menu, a compact table with alternating row colors, and a polished UI with shadows and gradients.
- Latest Refinements: Today, we repositioned the Stat page menu icon to align with the table’s "OLS" column and reduced the header height by 10% for better vertical spacing.
Technical Insights
Our development process involved iterative testing on various viewports (e.g., 320x480, 390x844, 1280x720) using React Developer Tools. We addressed routing issues, optimized CSS with media queries, and tackled challenges like the `OpaqueResponseBlocking` error for the logo (now resolved with `/logo.jpg` from `public`). Persistent issues, such as `ImgOlslm` errors and CSS warnings (`-moz-transition`), are on our radar for future fixes.
Key Commit: `feat(ui): enhance Stat page with menu icon repositioning and header height adjustment` - Co-authored with Grok 3.
Looking Ahead
Our next steps include resolving `ImgOlslm` errors, cleaning up CSS compatibility issues, and testing across diverse devices. We’re also exploring the addition of a loading spinner for Firebase authentication to enhance user experience. This work aligns with our vision of a connected, peaceful galaxy through technology.
